Mouser Electronics Signs Global Distribution Deal with OSEPP for Arduino-Compatible Boards and Kits

October 16, 2017 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, announces a global distribution agreement with OSEPP Electronics, designers and manufacturers of open source Arduino-compatible products. Through the agreement, the OSEPP product line at Mouser includes robotics kits, microcontroller boards, breakout boards, starter kits, shields, and sensor modules.

OSEPP robotics kits include all the hardware necessary to get started creating robotics projects. The Robotic Functional Kit adds an OSEPP UNO R3 PLUS microcontroller board, a high-voltage TB6612 Motor Shield, and sensors that provide common robotic functions.

OSEPP microcontroller boards now available from Mouser include the Fio, Pro, and Pro Mini boards. The OSEPP Fio microcontroller board is designed with wireless solutions in mind, with an external lithium polymer battery that can be charged over the USB connection. The OSEPP Pro microcontroller board is low- profile, bare board with no headers, created for designers who have a build-it-yourself approach to development. The OSEPP Pro Mini microcontroller board is a miniaturized version of the OSEPP Pro that offers easy concealment in projects.

To support additional functionality in the kits and microcontroller boards, Mouser is also stocking OSEPP breakout boards. With add-on features like humidity and moisture sensing, FTDI USB-to-serial communication, and motor control, these boards offer engineers a greater array of features for their projects.

Mouser now stocks a wide variety of OSEPP sensor modules, shields, and starter kits to provide sensor, actuator, and display functionality to projects. OSEPP starter kits are designed to remove barriers to learning the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE). Each kit includes easy-to-follow instructions and all hardware required for each lesson. Kits include the Arduino companion kit, 101 Robotic Basics 101, and 101 Sensor Basics 101, plus the new Stem Kit 1, which comes with the OseppBlock graphical IDE.
