JST Commercial KR insulation-displacement contact (IDC) connectors, now available from Mouser, are designed for wire-to-board connections and offer a mounted height as low as 6.9 mm and a thickness as thin as 4.8 mm. These connectors are suitable for a wide range of electronic applications, such as video and surveillance cameras, gaming consoles, and communication equipment. The KR IDC connectors feature through-hole and surface mount polarized headers in 2 through 16 positions, providing an easy-to-assemble, friction-lock system.
The XSR IDC connectors are wire-to-board connectors with a 0.60 mm pitch, making them some of the smallest IDC connectors available. These connectors are ideal for sensor and control applications in medical, monitor, wearables and audio devices. With a PCB mounting height of 1.45 mm and JST's proven U-slot structure design, these connectors are not only small but very robust. The XSR connectors are available in 2, 4, 6, 10, 16, 20 and 22 circuit variations, with a current rating of 0.2 amps and an operating temperature range of -25ºC to +85ºC.
