Texas Instruments SN74LVC540A/-Q1 Octal Buffer/Drivers

Texas Instruments SN74LVC540A/-Q1 Octal Buffer/Drivers deliver an octal buffer/driver solution designed for 2.7V to 3.6V VCC operation. The device features inputs and outputs on opposite sides of the package to help simplify printed circuit board layout. The TI SN74LVC540A/-Q1 supports mixed 3.3V/5V system environments by allowing inputs to be driven from either 3.3V or 5V devices. The device also supports partial-power-down applications using Ioff circuitry, which disables the outputs to help prevent damaging current backflow during power-down.

The SN74LVC540A-Q1 is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

Features

  • Qualified for automotive applications
  • ESD protection exceeds 2000V per MIL-STD-883, Method 3015; exceeds 200V using Machine Model (C = 200pF, R = 0)
  • Operates from 2V to 3.6V
  • Inputs accept voltages to 5.5V
  • Max tpd of 5.3ns at 3.3V
  • Ioff supports partial-power-down mode operation
  • Typical VOLP (output ground bounce) <0.8V at VCC = 3.3V, TA = 25°C
  • Typical VOHV (output VOH undershoot) >2V at VCC = 3.3V, TA = 25°C
  • Supports mixed-mode signal operation on all ports (5V input/output voltage with 3.3V VCC)
