Texas Instruments MSP430 Low Voltage Series

Texas Instruments MSP430 Low Voltage Series offer a true 0.9V operating microcontroller. This series has the capability to run all analog and digital logic at 0.9V, without boosting parts of the logic to a higher voltage. Ultralow power in active mode is 45μA/MHz (1.3V) and 6μA in standby mode. The architecture, combined with five low-power modes, is optimized to achieve extended battery life in portable measurement applications.

Features

  • Up to 4MHz CPU speed
  • 0.9V to 1.65V operation
  • Up to 256kB Flash
  • Program memory is 2kB - The basic blocks of the APOOL are a 256mV voltage reference, a Comparator, and an 8-bit DAC
  • As low as 45μA/MHz (1.3V) active mode
  • 6μA Standby mode
  • 3μA Off mode

Applications

  • Single 1.5V battery operated devices
  • Portable measurement
