Spectra Symbol HydroRibbon Fluid Level Sensors - Coming Soon

Spectra Symbol HydroRibbon Fluid Level Sensors are resistive elements comprised of a conductive resistor, a sealed encasement, and a simple collector. Electrically, the HydroRibbon is a 3-wire system with two resistive output channels and an electrical collector channel. However, the typical application will utilize this sensor as a 2-wire, variable, resistor. Upon immersion in a fluid that is 25.4mm (1.00") or more (depth), the collector and resistive elements are compressed by the hydrostatic pressure of the fluid and contact one another. The result is a change in resistance that is either proportional or inversely proportional (depending on how the sensor is wired) to the level of the liquid.

Features

  • For use in water-based, non-corrosive liquids
  • The active length of the HydroRibbon is IP67 (immersion up to 1 meter [39”] in depth); connector area must be kept dry
  • Designed with a polyester substrate
  • Can be terminated with any of Spectra Symbol’s standard connector options
