SiTime Automotive & Ruggedized Oscillator Families

SiTime Automotive and Ruggedized Oscillator Families are designed for harsh-environment and high-reliability timing. These devices address timing requirements with the SiT8924 AEC-Q100 oscillator, the SiT8918 high-temperature oscillator, the Endura™ SiT8944 ruggedized oscillator, and the Endura™ SiT5346 ruggedized Super-TCXOs. The SiT8924 and SiT8918 target automotive and high-temperature environments, while the SiT8944 and SiT5346 undergo 100% Endura™ process screening for aerospace, defense, and high-reliability systems. All four devices support factory programmability across frequency, supply voltage, and stability grade. These devices are available in five industry-standard packages and function as drop-in replacements for quartz oscillators, requiring no board redesign. Typical applications include automotive, aerospace, defense, smart meters, airborne communications, avionics, infotainment systems, ADAS systems, automotive cameras, LiDAR, radar, automotive Ethernet, powertrain systems, and industrial systems.

The SiT8924 oscillators operate at 1MHz to 110MHz with ±20ppm stability across -55°C to 125°C in a 2mm x 1.6mm package. These devices feature 0.1ppb/g acceleration sensitivity, 70g vibration, 10,000g shock resistance, 4–6 week lead times, and 1.8V and 2.5V to 3.3V supply voltage options.

The SiT8918 oscillators operate in the 1MHz to 110MHz frequency range, with ±20ppm stability, 0.1ppb/g vibration sensitivity at 70g, and a -40°C to 125°C temperature range. These oscillators feature 50,000g shock tolerance, 5x higher than the SiT8924, and are available in a 2mm x 1.6mm package. The SiT8918 oscillators support severe mechanical-stress applications, such as engine and transmission ECUs and GNSS modules.

The Endura™ SiT8944 devices extend the XO architecture to aerospace and defense with 100% Endura™ screening. These devices operate at 1MHz to 110MHz output with ±20ppm stability across -55°C to 125°C in the same five industry-standard packages. The Endura™ SiT8944 devices feature 0.1ppb/g acceleration sensitivity, 70g vibration, and 10,000g shock resistance, meeting MIL-STD-55310 and MIL-PRF-883 requirements.

The Endura™ SiT5346 is a ruggedized Super-TCXO that delivers ±100ppb precision in harsh environments. These devices operate at 1MHz to 60MHz with ±0.1ppm, ±0.2ppm, or ±0.25ppm stability across the -40°C to 105°C temperature range. The Endura™ SiT5346 devices achieve 1.5x10⁻¹¹ ADEV at a 10-second average interval and a ±1ppb/°C frequency slope. These devices feature DualMEMS™ sensing and TurboCompensation™ that maintain stability under airflow, thermal gradients, vibration, shock, and EMI. The Endura™ SiT5346 devices include 0.004ppb/g (typical) acceleration sensitivity and 0.2ps/mV power-supply noise rejection and meet MIL-STD-55310 and MIL-PRF-883.
