Siemens SITOP SEL1200 24V Switching Selectivity Modules

Siemens SITOP SEL1200 24V Switching Selectivity Modules have a switching characteristic for standard protection. The devices provide electronic protection and fast fault localization in 24VDC load circuits. Siemens SITOP selectivity modules distribute the load current across several 24VDC load circuits and reliably monitor them for overload and short-circuit conditions. SEL1200 selectivity modules allow higher brief overload currents. The higher the current, the faster the output is shut down. These selectivity modules support loads with high inrush current through which the supply voltage can drop to 15V. Users can switch the signaling of the SITOP SEL1200 between common signaling and channel-specific diagnostics.

Features

  • Switching characteristics for standard requirements compliant with the PLC standard
  • Four or eight load circuits per module with 1A to 5A or 2A to 10A adjustable output current range
  • Two neighboring outputs switchable in parallel (for up to 50% higher current, such as 15A with two 10A outputs)
  • Slim design matches the SITOP PSU6200
  • Single-channel diagnostics via free SIMATIC S7 blocks with extensive evaluations per output
    • Actual current
    • Current threshold
    • Reason for the shutdown
  • Push-in terminals

Applications

  • 24VDC power systems
    • Load distribution
