ROHM Semiconductor BD9xxN5-C 45V Automotive Nano Cap™ LDO Regulators
ROHM Semiconductor BD9xxN5-C 45V Automotive Nano Cap™ LDO Regulators are linear regulators using the Nano Cap topology, designed for low-current consumption in power supplies in various automotive applications requiring a direct connection to the battery. These products are designed for up to 45V as an absolute maximum voltage and to operate until 500mA for the output current with low current consumption of 25μA (typical). These can regulate the output with an accuracy of ±2.0%.
The output capacitor, 470nF (typical) or more, can be used for this product series, and it can achieve a brilliant transient characteristic even with a small capacitance. The output voltage lineup consists of 3.3V, 5.0V, and an adjustable type, controlled by an external resistive divider. The output voltage can be adjusted between 1.0V and 18V by an external resistive divider connected to the ADJ pin.
The output shutdown function is integrated into the devices. A logical “HIGH” at the EN pin turns on the device, and the devices are controlled to disable by a logical “LOW” input to the EN pin. The devices feature integrated Over Current Protection to protect the device from damage caused by a short circuit or overload. These ROHM Semiconductor BD9xxN5-C LDO Regulators also incorporate Thermal Shutdown Protection to prevent damage from overheating and Under-Voltage Lockout to avoid false operation at low input voltages. Furthermore, low ESR ceramic capacitors are sufficiently applicable for the phase compensation.
