Renesas Electronics RH4Z2502 IO-Link PHY
Renesas Electronics RH4Z2502 IO-Link PHY is a single-channel line driver and level-shifter IC with integrated protection for industrial sensors and actuators. The RH4Z2502 implements an IO-Link physical layer while providing transparent UART communication, wake-up detection, configurable output current, and embedded diagnostic functions. The device also includes a license key for using an IO-Link-compliant stack library with a compatible Renesas RA2 MCU, eliminating the cost of an additional stack license and reducing development effort.
The Renesas RH4Z2502 IO-Link PHY combines embedded surge, overload, overvoltage, and reverse-polarity protection with two integrated LDOs and a wide operating temperature range. Its compact SMT package helps reduce PCB space and external component requirements in IO-Link devices. The RH4Z2502 PHY is ideal for industrial sensors, actuators, SIO-mode devices, and PWM control systems that require robust communication and voltage-level shifting.
