Stackpole Electronics Kelvin Termination Metal Alloy Resistors feature four terminals, ideal for high-efficiency applications. These resistors provide high power handling, a low resistance value, and low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Stackpole Electronics Kelvin Termination Metal Alloy Resistors deliver high current performance with stability and accuracy. These resistors are RoHS/REACH compliant and ideal for power modules, frequency converters, solid-state power supplies, portable battery management, hybrid power control, and automotive power applications.

The HCSK series features an all-metal, surface-mount current shunt with Kelvin terminations for high-accuracy, low-resistance current sensing. The HCSK resistors are rated up to 5W at terminal temperatures up to +100°C, utilizing unique materials and a raised element design. The elevated open-air element minimizes PCB thermal stress, while the all-metal structure withstands board flexing and thermal gradients without issue. The robust HCSK series is available in 1% and 5% tolerances and 50ppm TCR. These devices show excellent demonstrated stability over life, high-temperature exposure, moisture resistance, rapid change of temperature, and short-time overload testing with resistance shifts of less than 1% over industry-standard tests.

The CSSK series offers a metal-alloy chip design that minimizes the effects of lead resistance in current sensing applications. The modules feature terminations on the long dimension of the part to facilitate more thermally efficient current flow. In addition, the four-terminal asymmetrical connection provides increased sensing accuracy by eliminating the effects of lead resistance. With an operating temperature range of up to +170°C, the robust CSSK devices withstand the high temperatures typically encountered in high-current circuits.
