Omron Electronics D2EW-R Sealed Ultra-Subminiature Basic Switches with integrated resistors detect four different states in a circuit: OFF, ON, short-circuit, and disconnected. The ON/OFF state indicates if the circuit is closed or open. The short-circuit state indicates a direct connection between two points in the circuit.
