Nexperia PSMN3R7-100BSE Linear Mode MOSFETs

Nexperia PSMN3R7-100BSE Linear-Mode MOSFETs deliver a combination of strong SOA and low RDS(on) and are ideal for hot-swap, soft start, and e-fuse applications. To handle the high in-rush current that can happen when swapping a server board or other pluggable system, or to guarantee that a processor board is brought up smoothly, a MOSFET with high SOA is used together with a hot swap controller. Previous generation parts traded off SOA against RDS(on), but the PSMN3R7-100BSE series maximizes SOA without affecting the RDS(on), therefore maintaining high operating efficiency levels.

The MOSFETs improve SOA with a four-fold improvement in linear mode performance in comparison to standard technology, yet have a maximum RDS(on) of only 3.95mΩ (3.36mΩ typical). These N-channel 100V devices are offered in the D2PAK package, qualified to +175°C. Devices are compatible with hot-swap controllers from leading manufacturers.
