Nexperia NID5100 Ideal Diodes

Nexperia NID5100 Ideal Diodes are designed for low-voltage systems that are unable to tolerate the high-voltage drops of conventional Schottky components. These diodes regulate the voltage between the IN and OUT pins when enabled and forward-biased, which results in a forward voltage drop. The NID5100 ideal diodes become reverse biased with very low leakage current when OUT voltage is higher than IN voltage. These diodes are a low-loss replacement for power OR-ing diodes and offer an automatic transition between OR-ed supplies. The NID5100 ideal diodes operate within the 1.2V to 5.5V voltage range and -40°C to 125°C temperature range. These diodes are available in a standard TSSOP6 (SOT363-2) with a 2.1mm x 1.25mm x 0.95mm body package compatible with industry SC88/SC70-6 packages providing a small PCB footprint. Typical applications include building automation, smart meters, and OR-ed primary and battery backup.
