Diodes Incorporated AH3711Q Automotive Hall-Effect Latches

Diodes Incorporated AH3711Q Automotive Hall-Effect Latches are designed for brushless DC-motor commutation, angular/linear encoders, speed measurement, and position sensors in automotive applications. The AEC-Q100-qualified, high-voltage, high-sensitivity AH3711Q is optimized to perform over a 3V to 27V supply range. The chopper-stabilized architecture and an internal bandgap regulator provide a temperature-compensated supply for internal circuits.

The Diodes Inc AH3711Q Automotive Hall-Effect Latches offer robustness and protection, with a reverse blocking diode with a zener clamp on the supply, and the output has an overcurrent limit and a zener clamp. The single, open-drain output can be switched on with the South pole and switched off with the North pole, both with sufficient strength. When the magnetic flux density (B) perpendicular to the package exceeds the operating point (BOP), the output is switched on (pulled low). The output is held latched until the magnetic flux density reverses and falls below the release point (BRP). The magnetic operating and release polarity is opposite for the SOT23 (Type S) and SC59 packages. For operation, the SOT23 (Type S) and SIP-3 (Bulk Pack) packages require the south pole on the part-marking side, and the SC59 requires the south pole on the non-part-marking side.
