Azoteq IQS624 ProxFusion® Sensor IC
Azoteq IQS624 ProxFusion® Sensor IC integrates multiple sensor technologies onto a single chip. The IQS624 offers Hall-effect rotation sensing, along with dual-channel capacitive proximity and touch sensing, or single-channel inductive sensing. The IQS624 is designed for applications where any or all of these technologies may be required. The two on-chip Hall-effect sensors calculate the angle of a magnet rotating parallel with the sensor. The sensor is fully I2C compatible and on-chip calculations enable the IC to stream the current angle of the magnet without extra calculations. By combining multiple sensors onto a single sensor IC, the IQS624 ProxFusion Sensor IC allows developers to reduce the bill of materials, power consumption, and board space required for an application. The IQS624 is offered in a compact 3mm x 3mm DFN-10 package.
