Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX12930 & MAX12931 Evaluation Kits

Analog Devices MAX12930 and MAX12931 Evaluation Kits provide a proven design to evaluate the MAX12930 and MAX12931 Two-Channel Digital Isolators. The Analog Devices MAX12930 and MAX12931 transfer digital signals between circuits with different power domains, using as little as 0.65mW per channel at 1Mbps with 1.8V. The two channels of the MAX12930 and MAX12931 transfer data in opposite directions, making these devices ideal for isolating a transceiver's TX and RX lines.

The Analog Devices MAX12930 and MAX12931 Evaluation Kits are offered in four variants to support the narrow-body and wide-body package types and the 25Mbps or 150Mbps maximum data rate. A generic, unpopulated variant is also available, allowing the user to select a device from the family of narrow-body MAX12930 and MAX12931 isolators.

The Evaluation Kit should be powered from two independent isolated power supplies with nominal output voltage in the range of 1.71V to 5.5V. A single power supply can also be used to evaluate the electrical parameters of the device without any isolation between the two sides.

Features

  • Broad range of data transfer rates, from DC to 150Mbps
  • Two unidirectional channels in the same direction (MAX12930) or two unidirectional channels in the opposite direction (MAX12931)
