ams OSRAM TARA2000-AUT-SAFE Automotive Infrared VCSEL Illuminators offer a reliable, built-in eye safety feature for in-cabin sensing applications. This integrated eye-safety functionality is designed to be more cost-efficient and reliable than existing photodiode (PD) based methods. The resistive interlock circuitry is integrated into the micro-lens array (MLA) and detects faults that could compromise eye safety, including shear-off and diffuser cracking. The module interlock loop offers easy, cost-effective integration because its read-out circuit only requires one AND gate or MOSFET, enabling a near-instant response (<1μs) to fault conditions. ams OSRAM TARA2000-AUT-SAFE Automotive Infrared VCSEL Illuminators are reflow solderable and ideal for interior monitoring, driver/passenger monitoring, and gesture sensing applications.Features
