Advanced Photonix Planar Diffused Structure UV-Enhanced Photodiodes

Advanced Photonix Planar Diffused Structure UV-Enhanced Photodiodes are engineered to deliver exceptional sensitivity, stability, and durability in ultraviolet detection applications. Built using a proprietary diffusion process, these devices achieve enhanced quantum efficiency in the UV spectrum while maintaining low noise levels and excellent linearity. Whether integrated into analytical instruments, environmental monitoring systems, or industrial sensing platforms, these photodiodes provide reliable, consistent performance.

Two main families are available:

• UVDQ Series are standard planar diffused UV‑enhanced; peak at 970nm; can be biased for lower capacitance/faster response/wider dynamic range or operated unbiased for low drift.

UVEQ Series has similar characteristics with near-IR response suppressed; peak at 720nm; ideal when IR blocking is necessary.

Each of the Advanced Photonix Planar Diffused Structure UV-Enhanced Photodiode series has similar electro-optical characteristics, except in the UVEQ series, where the near-IR response of the devices is suppressed. This feature is especially desirable if blocking the near IR region of the spectrum is necessary. UVDQ devices peak at 970nm and may be biased for lower capacitance, faster response, and wider dynamic range. Or these may be operated in the photovoltaic (unbiased) mode for applications requiring low drift with temperature variations.
