ROHM Semiconductor BD6xxM5-C Automotive Low Dropout Regulators

ROHM Semiconductor BD6xxM5-C Automotive Low Dropout Regulators are low-current consumption regulators designed with an absolute maximum voltage of up to 45V, a very high output voltage accuracy of ±2.0%, an output current of up to 500mA, and a low current consumption of 25μA. The output voltage lineup is fixed at 3.3V and 5.0V, with an adjustable output voltage option. The adjustable-output-voltage version can be adjusted between 1.5V and 26V by an external resistive divider connected to the ADJ pin. These products are designed for power supplies in various automotive applications requiring a direct battery connection.

There is an output shutdown function, where the output is “ON” when a logical “HIGH” is applied to the EN pin, and the output of the device is “OFF” when a logical “LOW” is applied to the EN pin. Furthermore, ceramic capacitors can be used sufficiently for the phase compensation.

The ROHM Semiconductor BD6xxM5-C features integrated over-current protection to prevent damage from short circuits or overload, and integrated thermal shutdown protection to prevent damage from overheating.
