NXP Semiconductors MCX W Wireless Microcontrollers
NXP Semiconductors MCX W Wireless Microcontrollers are secure wireless MCUs designed for compact, scalable, and innovative connected devices. Based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 architecture, the MCX W series provides a unified platform for BLUETOOTH® Low Energy and multiprotocol wireless development, supported by advanced security, scalable processing and memory, and a consistent developer experience.
The MCX W portfolio includes Bluetooth Low Energy solutions for compact, battery-powered sensing applications and multiprotocol devices supporting Matter®, Thread®, Zigbee®, and Bluetooth Low Energy. MCX W72 adds Bluetooth Channel Sounding and an integrated Localization Compute Engine for secure ranging, proximity detection, indoor localization, and other location-aware applications. The upgradeable, dedicated radio subsystem available on MCX W7 devices helps separate time-sensitive wireless processing from the primary application.
The NXP Semiconductor MCX W series is supported by the MCUXpresso Developer Experience, including SDKs, software examples, configuration tools, security programming/provisioning tools, and a choice of IDEs. Support for Zephyr™ RTOS and FreeRTOS helps developers select the software environment suited for connected applications and move from evaluation to development.
