Infineon Technologies EZ- USB™ HX2G3 USB 2.0 Hub Controllers

Infineon Technologies EZ- USB™ HX2G3 USB 2.0 Hub Controllers include programmable USB 2.0 PHYs and one Serial Communication Block (SCB) that supports I2C or SPI. These hub controllers operate using FirmWare (FW) in ROM, an external I2C EEPROM/SPI flash, or downloaded from an external I2C master. The HX2G3 USB 2.0 hub controllers are integrated with an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU, 32kB of SRAM, and 32kB of ROM. These hub controllers are equipped with an embedded eFuse to support trimming, VID/PID, and PHY configuration. The HX2G3 USB 2.0 hub controllers support multiple port configurations and active and deep sleep power modes. These hub controllers are available in 36-LGA, 40-QFN, and 48-QFN packages. Typical applications include industrial and commercial.

Features

  • USB 2.0 hub controller supports high-speed (480Mbps), full-speed (12Mbps), and low-speed (1.5Mbps) data rates
  • Integrated with an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU, 32kB RAM, and 32kB ROM
  • Multiple port configuration options:
    • One upstream port and four downstream ports (1:4)
    • One upstream port and two downstream ports (1:2)
  • Embedded eFuse to support trimming, VID/PID, and PHY configuration
