Kinetic Technologies KTS1650B Power Switch IC Overvoltage Protection(OVP) device features an ultra-low 36mΩ (typical) on-resistance high current integrated MOSFET. This KTS1650B power switch IC actively protects low voltage systems from voltage supply faults up to +28V_DC. The internal clamp protects the device from surges up to 200V. This input voltage exceeding the overvoltage threshold will cause the internal MOSFET to turn off, preventing excessive voltage from damaging downstream devices. The KTS1650B power switch IC features thermal shutdown, short circuit protection, and a 15ms internal startup debounce. This power switch IC operates at a 2.3V to 28V input voltage range, up to 4.5A continuous current capability, and -40°C to 85°C temperature range. The KTS1650B power switch IC is ideally used in smartphones, tablets, and mobile internet devices.
