High-Speed Media Converters

Amphenol Aerospace High-Speed Media Converters are a ruggedized family of converter modules designed for military and commercial applications on land, air, and sea. The portfolio includes solutions for speeds from 1G to 10G as well as SD/HD/3G-SDI, 1000BASE-T, SGMII, RS422 signals, and more. Single and multi-channel configurations are available, as are splitters, extenders, and concentrators - all of which meet IEEE standards and can operate under extreme temperatures and altitudes. These Amphenol Aerospace media converters are offered as stand-alone or embedded solutions, including those acting as drop-in replacements for standard Vita66.4 technology. Power, fiber optic, and/or copper test cables are typically available for each converter type.

VPX Media & Protocol Conversion Modules

Amphenol Aerospace VPX Media and Protocol Conversion Modules provide a conversion platform between backplane, Base-T, and high-end fiber connections. These conversion modules support connectivity for 1G, 10G, and up to 40G Ethernet with Base-T and Fiber Base-SR conversion circuitry. These 6U, high-end performance interconnect devices are built for rugged environments, enabling system connectivity between commercial off-the-shelf switches, processors, and I/O boards. Amphenol Aerospace VPX media conversion products integrate well into new sub-systems, providing a foundation for user-specific, high-tech derivatives.
