CMA160E1600HF Single Thyristor

Littelfuse CMA160E1600HF Single Thyristor is a high‑performance 160A, 1600V (SCR) in a PLUS247 package. This thyristor features a planar passivated chip structure for long-term stability and excellent ruggedness. The device is housed in the PLUS247 (TO‑247 style) package, offering efficient heat dissipation, a compact footprint, and compatibility with industry‑standard mounting methods. It is fully RoHS compliant and uses UL 94V‑0 epoxy materials to meet stringent environmental and safety standards. Typical applications include line rectification at 50Hz/60Hz, soft-start AC motor control, lighting and temperature control, DC motor control, power converters, and AC power control.

Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers

DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations. Working with tens to hundreds of kilowatts of power, efficient conversion, reliability of the system, and user safety are critical.
