DRV8x Integrated Motor Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8x motor drivers are intended to drive an electromagnetic machine, such as a brushed or brushless motor, stepper motor, or other electromechanical actuator. The TI DRV8x family of integrated motor drivers enable designers to quickly and easily spin their motors, reducing time to market and greatly simplifying design. By integrating the gate drive circuitry, sense amps, protection, FETS, industry standard control interfaces, and drive algorithms, the design complexity, board space, and time to spin a motor have all be greatly reduced. With on-chip protection including overcurrent, thermal, shoot-through, and undervoltage, the DRV8x family is robust, reliable, and fully protected.

DRV8886/DRV8886AT 2A Stepper Motor Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8886/DRV8886AT 2A Stepper Motor Drivers are designed for industrial and consumer end-equipment applications. The devices are fully integrated with two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridge drivers, a microstepping indexer and integrated current sensing.

DRV8814 DC Motor Driver IC

Texas Instruments DRV8814 DC Motor Driver IC offers an integrated motor driver solution for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment. The TI DRV8814 has two H-bridge drivers and is intended to drive DC motors. The output driver block for each consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as H-bridges to drive the motor windings. TI DRV8814 DC Motor Drive IC can supply up to 2.5A peak or 1.75A RMS output current per H-bridge. The device includes internal shutdown functions for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature protection.

DRV8434E/DRV8434P Dual H-Bridge Motor Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8434E/DRV8434P Dual H-Bridge Motor Drivers are dual H-bridge motor drivers for various industrial applications. The devices can drive two DC motors or a bipolar stepper motor. The output stage of the driver consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as two full H-bridges, a charge pump regulator, current sensing and regulation, and protection circuitry. The integrated current sensing uses an internal current mirror architecture, removing the need for a large power shunt resistor, saving board area, and reducing system cost. A low-power sleep mode is provided to achieve an ultra-low quiescent current draw by shutting down most of the internal circuitry. Internal protection features are provided for supply undervoltage lockout (UVLO), charge pump undervoltage (CPUV), output overcurrent (OCP), and device overtemperature (TSD). The Texas Instruments DRV8424E/DRV8434P can drive a stepper motor with up to 2.5A full scale or brushed motors with up to 4A peak (dependent on PCB design).
