Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

LTKAK1.5-L TVS Diode

Littelfuse LTKAK1.5-L TVS Diode offers a clamping voltage lower than alternative technologies such as MOVs and GDTs. This diode features 1.5KA (8/20 µs) surge current and 10μA maximum reverse leakage current. The LTAK1.5-L TVS diode aids compliance with surge requirements such as IEC 61000-4-5 (Level 4). This diode provides a glass-passivated chip junction and low dynamic resistance. The LTAK1.5-L is available in a compact surface-mount SMTO218 package and is compatible with automated PCBA processes. This diode is halogen-free and RoHS compliant. Typical applications include AI/data center/ICT HVDC distribution and power supplies, EV chargers, energy storage systems, rolling stock, HVDC transmission, converters, SSTs, and SSCBs.
