Firewire Connection System

Amphenol Pcd Firewire Connection System is IP68 rated for harsh environments. With FW Field, users can insert a standard IEEE 1394A cordset into a metallic plug which will protect it from shocks, dust, and fluids with no tools or in-field labeling necessary. The metallic plug is connected into a receptacle using a Tri Start Thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-389999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibration environments such as railways, communication systems, embedded computers, shipboard systems, process control, robotics, and automation. The Amphenol Pcd Firewire Connection System requires no assembly tools and transmits data 400 Mbits/second over 4.5 meters.
