SMP/SMPM Fixed Bullets

Amphenol / SV Microwave SMP / SMPM Fixed Bullets are available in a variety of lengths, including 0.265" for SMP and 0.188" for SMPM. The series offers a small footprint that withstands misalignments of 0.010" axial and ±0.010" radial float. These adapters also feature a lower insertion loss than spring bullets and a frequency range of DC to 40GHz for the SMP variant and DC to 65GHz for SMPM. The broad adapter lineup enables system designer flexibility when integrating board-to-board RF solutions. Additional applications include military-aerospace and large-scale, blind-mate arrays. Amphenol / SV Microwave SMP / SMPM Fixed Bullets undergo MIL-STD-202 test standards and operate in a -65°C to +165°C temperature range.

SMP Adapters

Amphenol RF SMP Adapters are high-frequency, blind-mate solutions for board-to-board and module-to-module applications. SMP adapters are engineered for use in high-density, high-frequency applications requiring minimal footprint and secure, blind-mate engagement. These versatile interconnects are ideal for scenarios where limited space and misalignment tolerance are critical. SMP adapters are available in various configurations, including bullet and between-series options, to meet complex design requirements.

SMP Connectors

Amphenol RF SMP Connectors feature a subminiature interface in the same scale as MMCX connectors while offering a frequency range of DC to 40GHz. These SMP connectors are commonly used in miniaturized high-frequency coaxial modules and are offered in both push-on and snap-on mating styles. The interface is ideal for PC board-to-board interconnect and utilizes a male connector on each of the PC boards and a female-to-female adapter mounted in between to complete the connection. The female adapter is often called a bullet and is necessary to provide a flexible link between the male connectors. This flexible link allows 0.020" of radial float and 0.010" of the axial float. One male connector is typically specified as a snap-on interface and the other as a push-on. This ensures the bullet adapter remains fixed in the same male connector if the PC boards are separated. Amphenol RF SMP connectors feature bullets in multiple lengths for different board spacing.
