Spectral Doppler Processor for Portable Ultrasound
A Spectral Doppler Processor is used for Spectral Doppler Ultrasound, a form of ultrasound image display where the flow velocity spectrum is graphed on the Y-axis against time on the X-axis. With Doppler Ultrasound, a handheld transducer sends and receives sound waves through the skin of the patient. The waves reflect, scatter, or get absorbed, and the receiver detects solid objects this way. Changes in the pitch of reflected sound waves are called the Doppler Effect.
