PTVS High Current Power TVS Diodes

Bourns Power Transient Voltage Suppressor (PTVS) Products are high current bidirectional TVS diodes designed for use in AC line protection and high-power DC bus clamping applications. These devices offer bidirectional port protection from 58V to 470V. The diodes are RoHS compliant, UL listed, and meet IEC 61000-4-5 8/20μs current surge requirements. The use of silicon technology in these Bourns power TVS products offers lower clamping voltage under surge compared to MOV technology. The devices are provided in through-hole and SMD packages and meet lead-free solder reflow profiles. The SMD package provides a 20% reduction in peak clamping voltage compared to the equivalent through-hole device because of its lower lead inductance.
