FY Supercapacitors

KEMET FY Supercapacitors feature a 5.5VDC operating voltage (maximum) and operate in a wide temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. These maintenance-free devices are also known as electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs). The FY series offers high reliability against liquid leakage. KEMET FY Supercapacitors are suited for low-voltage DC hold-up applications such as embedded microprocessor systems with flash memory.

Supercapacitors

KEMET Supercapacitors are designed for high-energy storage applications and consist of four basic form factors: molded, chip, can, and radial through-hole. These superconductors offer rapid charging/discharging within seconds, open failure mode to eliminate short circuits, easy installation with automatic mounting, and pick-and-place capability. KEMET Supercapacitors approach infinite charge/discharge cycles with very little deterioration of capacitance or cycle life and are maintenance-free. Typical applications include a real-time clock, energy harvesting, test equipment, and industrial control.
