Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs)

onsemi Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) are highly integrated solid-state power switches integrating gate-drive circuitry based on IGBTs or MOSFETs in a single module. IPMs also include protection for power systems from issues such as short circuits, under voltages, and extreme temperatures. IPMs using 600V IGBTs are used in consumer and industrial applications for driving fans, pumps, and compressors. IPMs using 40V and 80V MOSFETs are increasingly used in automotive applications to drive electric fans and pumps. 

NFAM3065L4B/NFAM5065L4B Intelligent Power Modules

onsemi NFAM3065L4B/NFAM5065L4B Intelligent Power Modules are an advanced Motion SPM offering a fully-featured, high-performance inverter output stage for AC Induction, BLDC, and PMSM motors. The fully integrated inverter power modules have an independent high-side gate driver, LVIC, six IGBTs, and a temperature sensor (VTS or Thermistor (T)). The six IGBTs are configured in a three-phase bridge with separate emitter connections for the lower legs, allowing maximum flexibility in the choice of the control algorithm.

onsemi NFAM Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) are highly integrated, compact solutions designed for efficient and reliable motor control in industrial and consumer applications. These onsemi IPMs combine gate drivers, protection features, and power transistors (typically IGBTs or MOSFETs) into a single package, simplifying design and reducing board space. With voltage ratings of 600V or 1200V and current capabilities from 10A to 75A, the NFAM series supports a wide range of motor types and power levels.
