Minimold IR Receiver Modules

Vishay Semiconductors Minimold IR Receiver Modules offer a photodetector and a preamplifier in a single epoxy package. These receivers provide a demodulated output signal that can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. The Minimold series is optimized to be immune from interference from ambient light and spurious pulses from energy-saving lamps like compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). Vishay Semiconductors Minimold IR Receiver Modules have a 2.5V to 5.5V supply voltage range and are compatible with wave or reflow soldering.

Vishay Semiconductors IR Receiver Modules allow designers to choose the receiver with the right combination of coding speed and noise suppression for various applications. No single automatic gain control (AGC) algorithm can completely suppress all noise and pass data signals.
