XC8114 Load Switch ICs

Torex Semiconductor XC8114 Load Switch ICs operate in a 1.5V to 6V input voltage range and deliver a maximum output current rating of 3A. These ICs replicate the functionality of an ideal diode that provides ultra-low loss equivalent to a diode with a 20mV forward voltage. The XC8114 ICs features include an enable (EN) pin, overcurrent limiting, inrush current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection. These ICs use constant current limiting and foldback current limiting to manage overcurrent conditions. The foldback method restricts the short-circuit current to 60mA, enabling safe operation even in short-circuit conditions. The XC8114 Load Switch ICs come in a compact, low-profile package, making them suitable for space-constrained applications with limited board area or height restrictions. These ICs are suitable for wearable devices, smart card devices, IoT devices, and power backup supplies.
