TPS730 LDO Low-Power Linear Voltage Regulators

Texas Instruments TPS730 LDO Low-Power Linear Voltage Regulators feature a high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR), fast start-up, low noise, and excellent line and load transient responses in a small SOT-23 package. NanoStar packaging has an ultra-small footprint, ultra-low profile, and package weight. This package makes it ideal for portable applications like handsets and PDAs. Each device in the family is stable, with a small 2.2µF ceramic capacitor on the output. The TPS730 family uses a proprietary, advanced BiCMOS fabrication process to yield low dropout voltages. Each device consumes low quiescent current (170µA typical) and achieves fast start-up times (approximately 50µs with a 0.001µF bypass capacitor). The supply current is reduced to less than 1µA when the device is placed in standby mode. The Texas Instruments TPS73018 exhibits approximately 33µVRMS of output voltage noise at 1.8V output with a 0.01µF bypass capacitor. Applications with noise-sensitive analog components, such as portable RF electronics, benefit from the high PSRR and low-noise features and the fast response time.
