TPS2582x USB Source Controller & Power Switches

Texas Instruments TPS2582x USB Type-C™ 1.5A Source Controller and Integrated Power Switches determine when a USB sink is attached by monitoring the Type-C configuration channel (CC) lines. The TPS2582x applies power to V_BUS and communicates the selectable V_BUS current sourcing capability to the sink via the pass-through CC line when a sink is attached. The TPS2582x also applies V_CONN power to the cable V_CONN pin if the sink is attached with an electronically marked cable. The TPS2582x is for functions where V_CONN is unnecessary, such as USB 2.0 and data-less charging implementations, as the TPS25821 does not apply V_CONN power.
