TPS1689x 20A Stackable eFuse

Texas Instruments TPS1689x 20A Stackable eFuse is an integrated high-current power management and circuit protection solution in a small package. The device uses very few external components to provide multiple protection modes and is a robust defense against short circuits, overloads, and excessive inrush current. The integrated PMBus interface enables a host controller to control, monitor, and configure the system in real time. Key system parameters can be read back for remote telemetry. Various coefficients and protection/warning thresholds can be stored in non-volatile configuration memory or configured through PMBus. An integrated, accurate, and fast sense-analog load-current monitor enables advanced dynamic platform power management and predictive maintenance, such as Intel PSYS and PROCHOT, to optimize server and datacenter performance. The Blackbox fault recording feature helps debug field failures/returns. For higher current support, Texas Instruments TPS1689x can be connected in parallel with TPS1685x. The devices are characterized for operation over a junction temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.

LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers

Texas Instruments LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers with Low Quiescent Current offers intelligent control of a high-side N-channel MOSFET during normal on/off transitions and fault conditions. The constant rise time of the output voltage results from the inrush current control. Both an Input UVLO (with hysteresis) and a programmable input OVP are provided, with an enable input offering a remote on or off control. The initial start-up VGS fault detection delay time, the transition VDS fault detection delay time, and the continuous over-current VDS fault detection delay time is programmed from a single capacitor. The MOSFET is latched off until either the enable input, or the UVLO input is toggled low and then high when a detected fault condition persists longer than the allowed fault delay time.
