Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets

TDK Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets (shields) are thin, flexible sheets utilizing TDK's state-of-the-art magnetic materials and manufacturing expertise. These features, combined with various thicknesses and hybrid materials, which implement metallic layers, enable Flexields to provide EMI noise suppression over a wide range of frequencies with varying attenuation values. Another benefit of TDK Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets is that these sheets can easily be cut to size and shape as needed to fit in the available space.

IFM Hybrid Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets

TDK's IFM10M series noise suppression sheets consist of a magnetic layer and an ultra-thin copper-clad laminated layer enabling high magnetic permeability. The IFM10M sheets are 60% thinner than existing magnetic sheets and offer equivalent noise suppression performance over a broad frequency range of 500kHz to 1GHz. The copper layer is 1µm thick resulting in the total thickness of the new Flexield product of just 0.04 mm.

IFL Hybrid Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets

TDK’s IFL Hybrid Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets are thin, flexible magnetic sheets designed to suppress unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI) on various types of electronic equipment. This hybrid type Flexield is constructed with both a magnetic and a conductive metal layer to provide attenuation at high EMI level conditions where the magnetic layer alone may not be sufficient. The magnetic layer provides attenuation via magnetic losses and noise magnetic flux absorption with the metal layer providing reflection (blocking) and Eddy current losses. Sheets are available with either a top insulation layer (“E” type) or a top conductive metal layer (“G” type) which can be grounded, helping to prevent the introduction of parasitic capacitance or inductance and improving noise suppression.
