5X1503 & 5L1503 MicroClock™ Clock Generators

Renesas Electronics 5X1503 and 5L1503 MicroClock™ Programmable Clock Generators are ideal for low-power, consumer, battery-powered applications, wearable, and smart devices. These Renesas devices feature a 1 PLL + DCO architecture design with one embedded crystal. The generators are OTP programmable and allow up to 3 unique frequency outputs. The devices have built-in unique features like Proactive Power Saving (PPS). The devices have a low-power DCO to support the system date/time-keeping clock at 32.768kHz. Dynamic Frequency Control (DFC) supports dynamically changing between four different PLL frequencies. This is achieved by external requests with controlled frequency changes, reducing frequency overshoot and undershoot (ORT). The devices can also support a spread clock for EMI reduction.
