NXP Semiconductors PN5180A0xxC3/C4 Full NFC Front-End ICs are highly integrated high-performance ICs designed for contactless communication at 13.56MHz. These front-end ICs utilize an outstanding modulation and demodulation concept that is completely integrated for various contactless communication methods and protocols. The series supports highly innovative and unique features that do not require any host controller interaction. The features include dynamic power control (DPC), adaptive waveform control (AWC), adaptive receiver control (ARC), and fully automatic error message decoder (EMD) error handling. NXP PN5180A0xxC3/C4 Full NFC Front-End ICs ensure maximum interoperability for the next generation of NFC-enabled mobile phones and are optimized for point-of-sale (POS) terminal applications. The series also implements a high-power NFC front-end functionality that allows achieving EMV compliance on the RF level.

High-Power NFC IC PN5180

NXP Semiconductors NFC IC PN5180 is a highly integrated high-power output NFC frontend IC for contactless communication at 13.56MHz. This integrated circuit implements the RF functionality and all low-level functionality to realize an NFC Forum-compliant reader. The PN5180 ensures maximum interoperability for the next generation of NFC-enabled mobile phones. The IC is optimized for point of sales terminal applications. The NXP PN5180 supports the vicinity protocol according to ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 MODE 3. It also implements a configurable temperature sensor. The chip allows different supply voltages for NFC drivers, internal supply, and host interface providing flexibility.
