NFZ Chip Noise Filters

Murata Electronics NFZ Chip Noise Filters are designed for noise suppression of audio lines such as Class D amplifiers. These NFZ noise filters can suppress noise in the range of 700MHz up to 2GHz without distorting the audio waveform. The series features low DC resistance, a rated DC current range of 180mA to 305mA, and excellent solder heat resistance. Murata Electronics NFZ Chip Noise Filters operate in a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The exceptional solder heat resistance is made possible by the nickel barrier structure of the external electrodes.

Audio Line Noise Suppression for Home Audio

Digital amplifiers are becoming more popular for home audio applications and have improved in terms of audio quality. But because of the switching noise that occurs in digital amplifiers, noise that exceeds EMC standards can be emitted into the space around the cable connected to the speaker. Noise suppression via capacitors and inductors is typically implemented to solve this noise problem. But Murata has developed noise filters for audio lines that suppress unwanted noise while maintaining audio quality. Here is an overview of noise problems in home audio and their solutions.

EMI Noise Suppression

Noise suppression has become an important issue, especially regarding electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Murata provides engineers with complete support, including products and design-simulation software solutions based on expertise achieved through extensive on-site experience. This enables Murata to provide noise suppression solutions for a broad array of applications.

NFZ2/NFZ3 Chip Noise Filters

Murata NFZ2/NFZ3 Chip Noise Filters are designed for attenuating common mode noise from power lines in LED lighting equipment. The series is available in 0806 (NFZ2) and 1210 (NFZ3) package sitzes. Murata NFZ2/NFZ3 Chip Noise Filters feature a rated current of 400mA and low DC resistance.
