MCP73xx Charge Management Controllers

Microchip Technology MCP73xx Charge Management Controllers enhance the safety and efficiency of battery-powered applications by providing overvoltage protection, high-accuracy voltage regulation, and an integrated pass transistor. The Microchip Technology MCP73xx family provides specific charge algorithms for Li-Ion/Li-Polymer and LiFePO4 batteries to achieve optimal capacity and safety in the shortest charging time possible. These Microchip Technology Charge Management Controllers have a maximum input voltage of 18V and come with an OVP set point of 5.8V and 6.5V for the single-cell MCP73113 and MCP7314 and an OVP set point of 13V for the dual-cell MCP73213 and MCP73123. These devices also offer a variety of charging-voltage options for both Li-Ion and LiFePO4 batteries.
