MCP2515 Controller Area Network Controllers

Microchip MCP2515 is a series of stand-alone Controller Area Network (CAN) controllers designed to simplify applications that require interfacing with a CAN bus. Controllers can transmit and receive both standard and extended data and remote frames. These devices also have two acceptance masks and six acceptance filters to filter out unwanted messages, thereby reducing the host microcontroller unit’s overhead. In addition, the controllers interface with MCUs via an industry-standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
