MCP22301 USB Type-C™ PD 3.1 Controllers

Microchip Technology MCP22301 USB Type-C® Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 Controllers are designed to adhere to USB Type-C cable and connector specifications and USB PD 3.1 specifications. These stand-alone and small form factor controllers enable cable plug orientation and detection for a USB Type-C receptacle. The MCP22301 PD controllers implement baseband communication with a partner USB Type-C device through the integrated USB PD 3.1 MAC. These controllers integrate analog discrete components required for USB Type-C PD applications, including voltage/current sensing circuitry for over-current/voltage detection and two VCONN FETs with Rp/Rd switching.
