4K/16K I²C Serial EERAMs

Microchip Technology 4K/16K I2C Serial EERAMs are 4Kbit and 16Kbit SRAM with EEPROM backup. The 4K/16K EERAMs are organized as 512 x 8bits or 2048 x 8bits of memory, utilizing the I2C serial interface. The EEPROM cells offer high-endurance nonvolatile storage of data, while the device allows infinite read and write cycles to the SRAM. When loss of power occurs, with an external capacitor, the SRAM data is automatically transferred to the EEPROM. Using either the Hardware Store pin or software control, data can be transferred manually. The EEPROM data is automatically recalled to the SRAM upon power-up or with software control.
