Metcal PS-900 Soldering System, powered by SmartHeat® Technology, is a cost-effective soldering system that requires no calibration. The PS-900 Soldering System provides exceptional thermal control, even for low-temperature lead-free soldering processes, in a small, benchtop footprint. Metcal PS-900 Soldering System includes the PS-PW900 power supply with power cord, PS-HC3 hand-piece with coil assembly, WS2-NS work stand with sponge, and AC-CP2 tip removal pad. Tips and accessories available. The systems provide superior PV tabbing and bussing soldering with lower thermal stresses on solar cells. Soldering at low, controlled temperatures (connection temperatures must be maintained below 300ºC) within a short time window reduces the stresses on the cells and the likelihood of micro-cracking and produces a controlled, high-quality solder joint.
