Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations.

Automotive TVS Diodes

Littelfuse AEC-Q101 Qualified TVS Diodes protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by load dump and other transient voltage events. These AEC-Q101 qualified devices offer peak pulse power dissipation ratings of 400W (SZ1SMA) to 3000W (TPSMD). Littelfuse AEC-Q101 Qualified TVS Diodes are ideal for applications such as DC power protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics such as electronic control units, sensors, and entertainment systems, as well as in portable devices that require high reliability.

TP5.0SMDJ Surface-Mount TVS Diodes

Littelfuse TP5.0SMDJ Surface-Mount TVS Diodes are designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients due to lightning strikes. TP5.0SMDJ diodes are AEC-Q101 qualified and offer excellent clamping capability, a low-profile SMD package, a glass-passivated chip junction, and a built-in strain relief. These diodes feature 5000W peak pulse power capability at 10µs/1000µs waveform, a fast response time of typically less than 1ps, and a low incremental surge resistance. Littelfuse TP5.0SMDJ Surface-Mount TVS Diodes are suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, V_CC bus, and other vulnerable circuits found in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
