Littelfuse S8016xA SCRs for automotive onboard charger (OBC) applications are 16A AEC-Q standard SCRs. S8016xA SCRs are specifically designed for electric vehicle OBC applications. These Littelfuse SCRs offer excellent AC handling capability, surge robustness makes S8016xA rectifiers an ideal switch for input rectifiers. Littelfuse S8016xA rectifiers provide, level-1 charging up to 16Arms at 120V and level-2 up to 16A_rms at 240V, at +100°C. These SCRs are available in the compact TO-263 surface mount and TO-220AB through-hole package. S8016xA SCRs are AEC-Q101 compliant, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant devices.

Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers

DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations.
