Littelfuse Industrial Communication and Control provides protection for RS-485 and Ethernet applications. The Industrial RS-485 features the capability of driving multiple ports, a fast speed rating of 10Mbps, and long-distance transmission of 1500m. Industrial Ethernet provides long-distance transmission of 100m, a 30W PoE+ rating, and a fast speed rating of 1Gbps. Littelfuse Industrial Communication and Control RS-485 and Ethernet devices are ideal for energy meters, factory automation, wind control, and human-machine interface applications. 

RS-485 ESD, Lightning, & Power Fault Protection

Littelfuse RS-485 ESD, Lightning, and Power Fault Protection feature polymeric positive temperature coefficients (PPTCs) that can protect against short circuit and power crosses. The RS-485 product line includes the resettable PPTCs, TVS diodes, GDTs, and SIDACtor series. The TVS Diode Arrays and SM712 series are specifically designed to protect RS-485 applications from ESD, EFT, and lightning-induced surges. When lightning occurs, the SIDACtor will react by causing voltage to increase across PPTC until GDT fires.
