Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

AK20-Y High Power TVS Diodes

Littelfuse AK20-Y High Power TVS Diodes feature Littelfuse Foldback™ technology, providing a clamping voltage lower than the avalanche voltage, resulting in a fast response time. These diodes are ultra-compact, less than one-tenth the size of traditional discrete solutions. They offer a 20kA current rating, 10nF to 32nF capacitance range, and up to 76V standoff voltage. Littelfuse AK20-Y High Power TVS Diodes are ideal for meeting severe surge test environments of both AC and DC line protection applications.
